Nokia XL 4G announced in China, the Android smartphone series lives on, although Microsoft announced its demise.
Over 10 days ago Microsoft issued a statement in which the company stated that it is killing the Nokia X series to focus on Windows Phone smartphones, but according to Nokia China blog post published earlier today, Nokia X 4G LTE is coming very soon as the first TD-LTE 4G phone.
Apart from the LTE technology, the Nokia XL 4G is equipped with a much more powerful processor, Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.2GHz (Nokia XL has a 1GHz dual-core chipset), backed-up by 768MB of RAM, 5-inch (800 x 400 pixels) display, 5MP rear camera with Flash LED and a 2,000 mAh battery.
Nokia XL 4G will be available in China in yellow, green, white and black color. No information on its pricing yet or whether this phone will be available globally at some point, but we will get back to you with more as soon as we hear more.
