You remember the rumours that were doing the rounds a while back? relating to Samsung splitting their Galaxy S5 into two different categories of premium and non-premium, similar to what Apple did with their 5S and 5C.
Well those rumours were put to bed when Samsung announced only one plastic S5, or so we thought! The Galaxy S5 Prime has reared its head a couple of times, this time manifesting itself onto an Indian shipping manifest with the product number SM-G906K and allegedly four of these guys were sent out to South Korea for “R&D purposes”
The Galaxy S5 Prime, unless it is a Galaxy K (aka Galaxy S5 Zoom set for launch on April 29th), is speculated to be released around a similar time to the iPhone 6 and will come packing some pretty impressive specs, including; a 2K display, 3GB of RAM, a 2.5GHz qualcomm Snapdragon 805 and a slightly bigger 5.2 inch 2560×1440 display all housed in a more premium feeling aluminium chassis.
