LG G Pad 8.3 receives Android 4.4

While Google is readying Android 4.4.3 version for the Nexus line-up, LG Electronics has just started rolling out the first batch of KitKat upgrades to LG G2 and the LG G Flex (more recently in Korea).

Another LG device that is getting KitKat as of this week is the LG G Pad 8.3. The tablet is ready to receive the update through LG Mobile Support Tool or via OTA (over the air) and it should take about 10 minutes to download and install.

In terms of whats new once upgraded to the latest firmware build KOT49I, the LG V500 will benefit from KitKat signature, which means the top notification bar icons are all white now, the notification bar becomes semi-transparent after applying a different from the original wallpaper, soft keys performance improvement, improvements to the lockscreen, speed loading optimization (Internet browsing), speakers software performance improvements, horizontal/vertical video playback improvement and more.

LG G Pad 8.3 receives Android 4.4 and it is now the third LG device in the G series to make this step.
