Hot off the heals of Samsung’s keynote speech at CES14 which introduced us to (among other things) the Galaxy Tab Pro and Galaxy Note Pro, Logitech announced it already had an accessory to go with the device, the Logitech Pro.
Logitech, one of the world’s biggest sellers of keyboards for computers, tablets and mobiles, announced at CES14 they already had an accessory ready to ship for the newly announced Samsung Galaxy TabPro and Galaxy NotePro, the Logitech Pro, a Bluetooth keyboard and case combination which can be used by both the new 12′ tablets.
Featuring a full size Bluetooth keyboard with Android specific shortcuts, this case will keep you new tablet secure with a range of special clips which will keep the corners of the device securely fastened whilst being easy to attach. The case will also allow you to stand the tablet in a comfortable typing position or fold it over to hide the keyboard and use just the screen.
The full size keyboard is powered by its own battery which can be charge using the supplied Micro USB cable. When fully charged, and assuming a total of 2 hours typing a day, Logitech claim that the Logitech Pro will have a 3 month battery life. Despite all this protection and utility, the Logitech Pro weighs in at only 495g (1.09 pounds) on its own, therefore not adding much weight to the tablet and case combo.
The case itself will protect the device with Logitech’s patented EPS, Essential Protection System, which will resist bumps, scratches and spills whilst looking professional and slim all at the same time.
Currently retailing at £109 ($129.99/€131.76) and with options for British or American English, French, Turkish and German keyboards, the case is currently on pre-order from the Logitech website. It’s believed the Logitech Pro will start shipping in February when the Galaxy NotePro and Galaxy TabPro are both available.
