Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ goes official in China via TCL. The new smartphone is basically an upgraded Idol X, but a consistent one, because it features 5-inch IPS Full HD screen, an octa-core 2GHz MediaTek MT6592 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear-facing camera, and 4G LTE technology brought by MediaTek chipset.
OneTouch Idol X+ has a longer lasting battery of 2,500 mAh (Idol X 2,000 mAh), hence the slight thicker body. Alcatel Idol X+ is 0.9 mm thicker than the previous version, measuring 7.9 mm, which still makes it a pretty skinny device. The sound system is also improved it comes with hi-res audio sampling frequency 24bit/192KHz and a pair of interesting ear buds.
Alcatel also introduced an activity tracking wristband called Boom Band that pairs easily with the Idol X+ via Bluetooth technology and it is waterproofed (IPX57/67).
OneTouch Idol X+ goes on sale by December 31st together with the Boom Band for CNY 1,999, about $325. A pretty cheap price isn’t it?
