injunction against HTC

Remember the injunction that was slammed into HTC face on December 3rd by the UK High court in the case against Nokia? Well, the Taiwan-based mobile maker made an appeal that week, and it looks like the result is in its favour, as the Court of Appeal today granted a stay on the injunction against HTC products, which included a sales ban in the United Kingdom on the HTC One, HTC One Mini, and HTC One Max, basically the whole One family.

Below you will find HTC official statement after Court of Appeal ruling today regarding this matter:

“HTC is delighted that the Court of Appeals has granted a stay on the injunction against our products. We will immediately resume shipment of all of our devices into the UK, including the entire HTC One family. Similarly, our customers should feel confident in their ability to promote and sell all HTC devices. Even though we plan to aggressively appeal the validity decision of Nokia’s EP 0 998 024 patent, we will continue to work with our chip suppliers on alternative solutions to ensure minimal disruption to our business in the future”.
