Motorola has just prepared the source files of the mid-ranger Moto G on the SourceForge website for all of you tech enthusiasts who would want to try building a custom ROM or kernel for your little ‘pet’.
The sources include the kernel, as well as all of the other modules that are needed for a successful build.
The Moto G packs good enough hardware, so it’s very reasonable to expect that CyanogenMod and the other ROMs would run flawlessly on it. Its display is really a class of its own in its price range, as well as everything else that can be found under the hood. In case you forgot, the Moto G is sold for $199, so if you don’t have something better in mind for a present for your loved one(s), this mid-range smartphone should serve well as a Christmas gift, and won’t break the bank.
