Moto G

Motorola has just announced a new smartphone called Moto G, and it it’s not the average budget-friendly device that you’ve all expecting it to be.

Moto G comes with a brilliant 4.5″ HD (1280×720) and 329 ppi (pixels per inch – xhdpi), under the hood it has a quad-core 1.2GHz¬†Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8/16GB built-in storage (no microSD slot because thats how Google builds its devices, however you get an extra 50GB on Drive), 5MP rear-camera (720p video recording), 1.3MP in front (720p playback in Hangouts). The phone weighs in at 143 grams, it is juiced up by a 2,070 mAh non-removable battery, GPS and it has 4G, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi b/g/n connectivity.

Motorola also introduces a couple of what the company calls Motorola Shells (magnetic flip covers and rubberized grip bumpers) available in a wide range of colours for protection against scratches and/or impact. The operating system is Android 4.3 JellyBean, but you’ll be able to upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat as soon as January, Motorola said.

Moto G has an incredible price! It costs $179 (about 115 pounds) for the 8GB version and $199 for the 16GB model, both unlocked. Check Motorola’s website for more details.¬†
