Dell Introduces New Tablets: Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8

179440-dellvenue7fullDell have introduced a couple of new tablets running Android 4.2.2 (Jellybean) dubbed the Venue 7 and Venue 8 because of their screen sizes, one being 7 inches and the other 8 inches. Its been a while since Dell delved into the Android market, they also released two tablets running Windows 8 dubbed Venue 8 pro and Venue 11 pro.

Both tablets are upgradeable to KitKat (Android 4.4) once available. Although both tablets do vary in screen size, both are incredibly similar, apart from the clock speeds of the Intel Clover Trail chips nestled inside the tablets, the 7 inch Venue is clocked at 1.6GHz while the 8 inch Venue features a 2.0GHz chip.

As for the pricing, both versions of the venue tablets will be available on Dell’s website starting October 18th, the 7 inch version of the Venue tablet will go for $149.99 while the 8 inch variant will go for $179.99. A fair price, that is if you want a tablet for light day-to-day use.The specs for both tablets are as follows:
