NTT Docomo upgrades Sony Xperia GX and Xperia SX to Android 4.1.2

Sony Xperia GX (SO-04D) and Xperia SX (SO-05D) launched on NTT Docomo last year are now eligible for a software upgrade to Android 4.1 Jellybean in Japan. The latest firmware that’s being rolled out to customers upgrade both smartphones from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to Android 4.1.2 Jellybean operating system which is a big update considering that is bringing Project Butter making the phones much snappier and stable, Google Now cards and other goodies that come along with the Jellybean version of Android.

To get the upgrade you either need to install PC Companion software tool or just look for a OTA (over the air) download notification, once successfully upgrade to the latest firmware, the new build should be 9.1.C.0.475 on both devices. Enjoy!
