We are pretty much sure there’s a new Android version just waiting to be announced and we have a clue it will be called Android 4.3 Jellybean. Today we got one more confirmation on that matter coming from a report by Myce.com.
Yesterday a Nexus 7 and a Nexus 4 were spotted running on new Android builds carrying the build numbers JWR66D and JWR53F. According to the numbers we can conclude that the builds are of Jellybean flavor (well, obviously) by the ‘J’ tag, and that they were built the 66th and 53rd days of the quarter each by the ‘R’ letter and the numbers proceeding. The ‘D’ means it’s the fourth build of the day, while ‘F’ means it’s the sixth. We are not sure what ‘W’ means, but it probably suggests the firmwares are built in the end of May/beginning of June.
We don’t expect Android 4.3 to bring many changes to the table, as it’s still under the Jellybean moniker. Perhaps Android 5.0 will be the update everyone are heated for.
