Samsung to adopt new device letter code, Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 confirmed along the way

Everybody may be familiar with Samsung’s classic device naming scheme, i.e their GT-IXXXX letter codes for most of their international devices. Well that may change according to a trusted Samsung insider.

The sources claims that Samsung is prepping several devices with a new letter code which will ditch the ‘GT’ for ‘SM‘ (Samsung Mobile) & T (Tablets). The source reports that the new lineup to feature this new naming scheme will first appear in the form of the Galaxy Tab 3 series which is set to be unveiled in a matter of months.

The source has also confirmed the presence of SM-T210, SMT210R, SM-T210X, SM-T211, SM-T215, SM-T310, SM-T310, SM-T310X, the SM-T311, SM-T312, SM-T315, all of which could be part of the new Galaxy Tab lineup!

The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will also be released in matter of weeks in not months, the 8-inch tablet will reportedly hit shelves ‘soon’. No release dates were leaked but the insider also affirms that Samsung will initially come up with 2 variants of the device:
