Sprint updates LG Optimus G to Android 4.1.2

LG’s 2012 top smartphone is currently being upgraded to Android 4.1.2 on Sprint network. The update is already rolling out for a few days now as users report, however the Now Network didn’t issue any public change log the first couple of days but it’s now out.

The update has been confirmed by Sprint and it is spreading out to customers for the next 10 days. The new firmware build is LS970ZVA and it brings Android 4.1.2 OS to the Optimus G. For more details on this update check the log below:

– Shortcuts and widgets can automatically be re-arranged or re-sized to allow new items to fit on home screens

– Bluetooth data transfer for Android Beam

– Improved voice search

– Improved camera app

– Android mobile version of Google Chrome replaces stock Android browser

– Ability for other launchers to add widgets from the app drawer without requiring root access
