The LG Optimus 4X HD and its smaller brothers, the L7 and L9 are about to get treated with a Jellybean update by the end of the first half of 2013, LG says on Facebook. Unfortunately, we don’t have any more information on this call, but LG said we will be further-informed about the progress.
Another thing we are curious to know is if the update will pack Android 4.1 or 4.2, as both of them share the same name Jellybean. We hope it’s the later one, as by the time they receive the upgrade, it will be a year since Android 4.1 was released, and nobody wants to receive a year-old Android update when there could be a newer one instead.
If you own some of the even lower-end LG models, Optimus L3 or L5 to be precise, we still have no clue if your device is going to make the move to Jellybean in the near future, though we highly doubt that, because the manufacturers are not keen on updating the lower-ranged smartphones of their.
