After the official unveil of Xperia Z at CES 2013, Sony is looking forward to launch at least a couple of new mid-range devices to complete its 2013 line-up and what better opportunity than the biggest stages of them all – Mobile World Congress.
Last week, on Monday the Xperia C5303 smiled at us for the first time in a photo gallery. At that point we had no idea which device it is, but a leak surfacing from Indonesian Telecom certification website (trusted source) just before everyone went on their weekend reveals that C5302 is non other than the Xperia SP. Sony C5302/C5303 are variations of Xperia SP mid-range smartphone.
According to all the rumors floating around Xperia SP should feature a 720p HD display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960T SoC with a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and Adreno 320 GPU, which means this is a mid-range handset.
The second device leaked on Indonesian Postel site is Sony C2105 which will be named Xperia L. This phone is expected to sport a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon SoC accompanied by Adreno 305 GPU. It will also feature a FWVGA resolution (480 x 854) display with on-screen keys. Both Xperia SP and Xperia L run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system with Sony’s UI on top.
