Technology giant Samsung will be introducing some new interesting devices during MWC2013 in late February this year. The tablet in question is a shrunken down cheaper version of the Galaxy Note 2 10.1 but bears a whole set of features and has it’s internals beefed up all with Android 4.2 onboard!
The Galaxy Note 8.0 aka ‘Kona’ can be seen as an iPad Mini alternative with Sammy’s goodies, packing a decent 8.0″ 1280×800 TFT display & measuring just 211.3×136.3×7.95 mm. The hardware will pretty much be standard, i.e 2GB of ram, 16/32GB of internal storage, a 5MP shooter, a 4600 mAh battery and a processor of unknown breed (It could well be Exynos Quad based) and will sport all standard connectivity features like like Bluetooth version 4.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and A-GPS as well as an S-Pen. The full specification list reveals a lot about the device, we were especially impressed that Samsung took a step further by finally prepping a midrange tablet which would pack Android 4.2 onboard!
This tablet will essentially come in two variants, one of which will have 3G capabilities (GT-N5100 3G). We hope to see the Note 8.0 in full glory during next month’s MWC!
