GSM GALAXY Nexus and the Nexus 7 ready for upgrade to Android 4.2

As you’ve read in the title being a loyal Google customer is rewarding. The awaited firmware upgrade to Android 4.2 JellyBean is now available for those who own a GSM GALAXY Nexus ((not for Verizon’s LTE)) or a Nexus 7 tablet. The software update is now out for grabs, but only if you know a thing or two on how to manually flash ROMs via CWM or ADB.

A OTA (over-the-air) rollout for all Nexus devices (including Nexus 4, Nexus 10) will be available soon. Another good news is that the Nexus 7 update will offer the Multi-user feature.

Download “takju” for GALAXY Nexus

Download “nakasi” ZIP file Nexus 7 (works only if you’re on Android 4.1.2 build JZO54K)
