HTC’s One series might have been Numero One in the current markets, but the HTC One S definitely deserves an award for the most under-rated phone. However recently it has gained some attention. After the company improved the One X calling it the One X+ (plus), the Taiwan giant, High Tech Corporation > HTC > for those who didn’t know, released a HTC One S Special Edition model also known as the HTC One S SE (Special Edition).
The additional changes aren’t as sweeping as the HTC One X+, but definitely it’s an improvement. The updated One S has got a dash of white colour and a whooping increase in the memory. This updated phone is available in what the company calls it, a ‘Snow White’ colour. But the thing that has caught attention is its on-board memory. Users had issues that the original One S only had 16GB in-built memory that too with no expandable external memory but this new edition phone boasts a 64GB in-built memory. However it is still not expandable.
All other features remain the same with a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 8-megapixel camera, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, all enclosed inside of an ultra slim, 7.8-millimeter body with the storage issue now solved and a choice of a white colour available.
Now for the drawback, this special edition phone is not available globally. It is available only in HTC’s homeland, Taiwan. It is yet unknown if the company will release this phone globally or not.
