The last 36 hours unveiled almost everything there is to know about the next Nexus. A smartphone that everyone is eagerly waiting for to launch by the end of October or early next month. Late last night a third leak shows the Optimus Nexus in a couple of images in Minsk, Belarus. Before you get all haste, I called it like that because the guy who shared these new images used Optimus Nexus name.
XDA Member 4shael shared two new images of the next Nexus along the specs sheet which we belive are real since he has the device in his possession. The bad news is that the prototype he now owns has no microSD card slot and it only has 8GB of built-in storage (likely a cheap quad-core Nexus phone), unless Google will change a few things before the official unveil. Or maybe engineers received the 8GB test unit while customers will get to buy at least a 16GB (hopefully).
- CPU: quad core ARMv7 1.5GHz
- RAM: 2 GB
- Memory: 8GB (and I haven’t found SD slot)
- GPU: Adreno 320
- Android version: JellyBeanMR1
- Kernel 3.4.0
- Screen: 768×1184 (320 dpi)
- Camera: 8 MP
Apparently he shared this device with the XDA community in hopes that he could find/receive some USB drivers to be able to connect it to a Windows running PC. I guess this last leak pretty much clears everything about the next Nexus smartphone, unless there will be more than just one Nexus phone, as rumors claim. Thoughts?
