In my search for a new Android phone, I was torn between the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note II. I like the size of the screen size of the Note, but the SIII is out now (and I’m inpatient).
I was a little discouraged when I read my colleague’s post that Note II would be released in November. So I went in to town to talk to my mobile operator O2. They had no mention on their system of when they would be receiving the Note II. Neither did Orange or Three. Feeling discouraged, I turned to Google.
I was delighted to find numerous reports that the European release date was reported to be:
- Germany: 27 September
- Italy: 28 September
- Netherlands, France and UK: 1 or 2 October
Samsung’s updated phablet (phone/tablet) sports a 1.6Ghz Exynos Quad core processor, 2Gb of RAM, Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, a 5.5 Super AMOLED screen, Premium Suite for Note and a redesigned S-Pen.
This gives me a little over a week to wait for the Note II to possibly appear in my local shops, so I will be using my iPhone 4 for a little while longer.
I hope to write a full review of the Galaxy Note II when I get it.
