We hear the name ‘LG‘ often these days. Yesterday, the Optimus Vu was the star of the show, and today we heard about a mysterious device, codenamed as ‘Optimus G‘.
According to the Korean site Asia Today, it’s a quad-core LTE device (voLTE = voice LTE), sporting a 4.7 inch IPS True HD display, running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with LG’s latest Optimus UI 3.0 on top. The device will have 2GB RAM and 13MP rear-facing camera. We don’t know anything regarding the chipset, but it might well be a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC.
Design-wise, the Optimus G will have a design inspired by the Optimus L family, which we really like. The upcoming flagship device will be available on LG’s domestic market and abroad starting next month. LG Optimus G likely to be unveiled at IFA trade show in Berlin, Germany at the end of the month.
We know nothing regarding the price of the device, but counting it’s a flagship, you better prepare your wallets. The Optimus G is expected to be a hit, especially in the US market, as there are still no quad-core LTE smartphones available. We will keep you informed on this story as soon as we dig more info.
