Google Translate Update Adds Translation Using Your Camera

Share article:

While this update to Google Translate has a few other features like instant translations while you type the big news here is the ability to translate through the camera. When you open the app, you click on the camera icon and take a picture of the text. Then you use your finger to brush over the words you want to translate, it’s as simple as that!

Right now this feature only supports: Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese and Russian, but hopefully we will see that number climb quickly. Tell us how well it works for you in the comments.

Available free from Google Play
