NTT Docomo one of the biggest Japanese network operator has announced that the 5″ Panasonic Eluga Power (P-07D) and Sony Xperia SX (SO-05D) will launch on Friday, August 10. Both are part of the high-end smartphones class.
Eluga Power is the second device that Panasonic launches this year. The phone is certified IP57, meaning it is dust and water proofed like its predecessor, sports a large 5-inch HD display, it is powered by Qualcomm‘s dual-core MSM8960 S4 chipset with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage, an 8MP rear-facing camera and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (probably upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean).
Xperia SX features a smaller 3.7 qHD display, powered up by the same Qualcomm MSM8960 S4 chipset with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in memory storage, an 8MP camera on the back and Android 4.0.4 ICS OS.
No pricing details for now, will update later this week.
