Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 Rolling out to Samsung Galaxy SII

Ice Cream Sandwich Release version 4.0.4 for the Samsung Galaxy SII started rolling out today for the Russian Region a short while ago. The firmware can be obtained via Samsung Kies for users in Russia and for Global users the Firmware can be flashed using Odin. Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 includes some major enhancements to Battery Life, and Touch Screen response over the previously released Ice Cream Sandwich versions.

The Firmware version is XWLPM and the Build Date is stated as 05th July 2012. The Stock Firmware is preloaded with a selection of new applications and Games including Bookstore, Brick Breaker, Bubble Town, Farm Frenzy, Infect, Ozon.ru, and a few more Russian Applications. However the availability of these preloaded applications depends on the region and the Network Operator.

Users are also advised to take caution, as the kernel included in this release is infected with the eMMC Superbrick bug which may lead the device to Hardbrick when a Factory Data wipe command is issued.
