Almost six months ago, they announced the “World’s fastest quad-core smartphone”, also known as Huawei Ascend D quad. It features a Huawei-made quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage plus a MicroSD card slot, 8MP camera with 1080p video recording at 3ofps, and naturally, Android 4.0 ICS.
We knew little about the release date of this monster, but there was a rumor that Huawei had problems with their quad-core CPUs, and the Ascend D quad might be delayed. Now Huawei made it official – they confirmed the rumor, and said that the Ascend D quad won’t be released in Europe until October. China, their homeland, is more fortunate though – it’ll get the phone in late August.
