Google Play Movies and Offline Play now works on rooted devices too?

Share article:

After  Google’s last year decision to block rooted devices from accessing (rent) Play Movies due to a vague reason, saying that “rooted devices are currently unsupported due to requirements related to copyright protection,” it looks like Google finally decided to drop this rule or so some users claim.

Well it didn’t last long folks, did it? Starting yesterday several users have reportedly being able to access Google Play Movies and also play them offline on rooted devices. Be noted that it will give you a quick warning (alert) before proceeding that your device isn’t secure and another thing it only works in the US.

Google hasn’t confirmed anything yet, which means this is not official. Take it as it is. If you’ve tried it and it works for you please do tell in the comments below.
