HTC Sense is arguably the most popular android user interface there is, and for good reason as it is designed very well and is remarkably lightweight on hardware. Its two newest versions, Sense 3.6 and Sense 4.0 are the obviously the best iterations yet. Both are based on the elusive Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, that people just can’t wait to sink there teeth into.
For this article we will be focusing on Sense 3.6, since this is the version most people will be getting with there updates. If you don’t know if your HTC phone will be getting the update, here is the list of the phones currently planned to get Ice Cream Sandwich.
HTC Amaze 4G, Desire, Desire HD, Evo 3D, Evo Design 4G, Incredible 2, Incredible S, Sensation, Sensation XL, Sensation 4G, Sensation XE, Raider, Rezound, Rhyme, Thunderbolt, and Vivid.
If your phone is on the above list you will be getting Sense 3.6 “eventually” and HTC has beens sure not to make any promises so it could be a long time before you get the update. Sense 3.6 has many new features like face unlock, a new launcher bar, revamped settings menu, and is much faster then previous versions of sense. If you can’t have Sense 4.0, version 3.6 is the next best thing. Now it’s just a waiting game for when HTC will release it.
