AT&T’s HTC One X users who were unable to unlock the bootloader may be victim to a fault from AT&T as it turns out that users from other countries now have unlocked bootloaders. HTC One X source code is now available for users from Australia, France, New Zealand, Europe, Taiwan, UK, and others. The source code is available for a number of carriers such as Vodafone, Optus, T-Mobile, Telecom NZ, and many more in their respective regions.
The availability of the source code now ensures that hackers and custom ROM makers can now tinker all they want with the device software. The software is kernel version 2.6.39, and the Android version is 4.0. The 111MB source code can now be downloaded from the HTC devcenter.
