And here we are again, at the end of the week, to bring you the best news of the week in our weekly review!

HTC One X received an OTA update, which should fix some glitches and bugs. Here’s what we said about that:

Europeans are reportedly receiving a software update for the unbranded HTC One X handset all over the continent. The new firmware build is 1.29.401.7 and its pushing out over the air (OTA). Right now there inst any official changelog but from the size of the update (35MB in size) we are certain that it is a maintenance update.

Not everyone will receive the update right away because its rolling out in stages, just check from time to time from Settings> About Phone> for updates. See if you got it 

Samsung finally introduced their new Android powerhouse – the Samsung Galaxy S3! Here are some of our impressions:

Samsung GALAXY S3 introduced minutes ago on stage at Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2012 event held in London is one sleek and innovative piece of technology in the mobile world at its 8.6 mm thin, weighs  133 grams.

Samsung flagship phone features a huge 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED (1280×720) display, 8MP main camera on the back of the handset, 1.9MP front facing camera and Android 4.0Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Available in white and dark blue 

LG Optimus L7 was launched globally. Here’s a small part from the article:

The LG Optimus 7 is an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phone having a 4.3-inch HD display and is just 8.7mm thick. Jong Seok, MC Director, has labelled this phone as h aving ”an innovative design ‘L-Style’ series design wind up in the global smartphone market, mobile phones have become stronger in the resurrection of a smartphone wars.” Full article 

LG announced a new flagship device, LG Optimus LTE2. Here’s a cut from the story:

LG Mobile doesn’t seem to be bothered by the fact that yesterday Samsung announced the GALAXY SIII and so the South Korean vendor announced a new handset which is apparently is a follow-up of Optimus LTE (Nitro HD, Spectrum etc).

LG Optimus LTE2 has been announced to head to Korean market this mid-May with an IPS TruHD touchscreen display that should measure over 4-inch according to these images (LG didn’t mention anything in the press release about its display). The phone has 2GB of RAM which is a premier in the mobile industry, comes with a new energy-efficient technology which saves the consumption for up to 40 percentage. Read more
