Freelance developers have started an online petition where they are gathering signatures in their quest to influence  Samsung Mobile decision and maybe consider a future cooperation with third-party developers  to help achieving full potential of purchased devices such as Galaxy S, S II and Galaxy Tab (P1000).

Recognized developer, and CyanogenMod build maintainer, Codeworkx, is one of the project (petition) initiators detailing in a post written on XDA forums what’s holding back devs of custom ROMs.

PocketDroid supports such initiative in hopes that their petition will gather enough weight to convince top vendors like Samsung to listen to its millions of customers around the world.

If you want to learn more about the petition, and maybe sign it for yourself, go here.
