A fourth Motorola DROID version is about to launch according to some rumors by the end of the month if not in early February on Verizon Wireless.

This new generation Androd smartphone is finally 4G LTE-ready, and Android 4.0 ICS OS will likely follow shortly after launch via an over the air software update. While DROID 4 prepares to launch, Verizon drops the price of DROID 3 to $99, while DROID PRO is free both on a two-year contract signing.

A good deal if you’re looking for a decent device with a full QWERTY keyboard and pretty good specifications: a dual-core 1GHz processor, 4″ touchscreen display and 1080p video recording capability.
