Yahoo launches Hub beta text messaging service

Yahoo launched today a new service called — Hub, a text messaging service that works through your data connection or over WiFi and is totally free without any text messaging fees.

Hub is fast and easy-to-use mobile messaging Android app that allows you to send text messages and have group conversations for free with your friends or work colleagues.

Yahoo Hub let’s you communicate with anyone on any mobile device whether its iPhone, Android, Blackberry or regula mobile phone  as long as you have their mobile phone numbers. Your friends are not required to have the app installed in order to reply to your messages although it would be better to enjoy the full feature set.

If you are a text fanatic than Hub is specially designed just for you. Because it is still in beta version the app is available only with an US SIM card and a text plan and it also requires a device with Android 2.1 operating system or higher.
