Android powered i'm Watch

Android – The next coolest thing … a name currently making headlines, made boom in the past and now it’s pushing its limit to the hilt.

In a frenzy this month, Android revealed its new OS, the Ice Cream Sandwich also known as Android 4.0 and the Gigantosaurus  of its herd, the Samsung Galaxy Prime. But one such shocking revelation comes true, an Android powered Watch! Yes, you heard it, a Watch.

Making its debut in the ARM TechCon is the world’s first “SmartWatch”, I’m Watch, which is basically a watch but with all the goodies of an Android powered smart phone. We have had Sony Ericsson’s Liveview and Moto’s leaked Tracy XL, but this altogether a newer cooler watch for which the Geek community is eagerly waiting.

I’m Watch packs in an ARM IMX233 processor with an amazing 4 gig flash memory and 64-MB RAM within 1.54″ TFT display. Enough for a Android-based Watch to make heads turn in a moment.

Also it comes with Bluetooth 2.1+,microphone, built-in speaker, 3.5 mm headset jack and charging jack. Now that is something to watch out for!!

When it comes to software, i’m Watch will ship with a handful of pre-installed apps that will allow you to check the weather forecast, view stock market data and receive notifications from Facebook, Twitter and more.

And as every Android device has ended up in history, this baby will also have a dedicated XDA corner as I’m Watch will in future give away the open software developement kit. The watch comes in two colored editions, namely the Jewel Collection which includes various shades of gold and titanium itself, and Color Collection with basic colors like pink, white, red, yellow, green, black and light blue.

It comes with a tag of an approx $340, which is a pretty heavy tag, but surely Techies and Geeks will surely have a look at this awed piece of creation with its amazing looks and functionality. Plus, the word – Android, does it all!
