It’s Saturday, and that means it’s time for our weekly review, the Week in Review @PocketDroid. We started the week with the Samsung Galaxy XCover review! Here’s what we said:

The number of phones that are actually durable is painfully limited in our market and to have durability along with elegance and a smartphone experience is a privilege we can only expect from SAMSUNG.The company has released a new Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) running XCOVER. Full review

Then, we told you that the OTA update for the Droid Incredible had finally arrived! Here’s a cut from the story:

Verizon Wirelessinformed us at the end of August about an update to 2.3.4 for Droid Incredible and one for HTC Thunderbolt coming in September, and as promised that update is rolling now for all Incredible devices. Full article

After that, we informed you that Eric Schmidt, the Google Inc. chairman, estimates the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich release in October! Here’s a part from the story:

 Later, we spotted a new HTC phone that got a DLNA certification. It was the HTC Rezound! Here’s the story:

It looks like a new HTC phone got DLNA certification – it’s the HTC Rezound. All we know about this device is that it’s running Android OS, and it may be a new member of the Beats family.

We’ll keep you informed, as always, if we hear something new about the HTC Rezound.

We heard that the next Google phone, the Nexus Prime, got its first render images! Here’s what we said:

andtec, a United Kingdom retailer has put up a “Coming Soon” page on their website displaying a render image showing a sleek device named by them Google Nexus Prime.

The image above displays a device which could turn out to everyone’s amaze as the future Nexus Prime. The render also reveals some interesting specifications such as: 4.6-inch Super AMOLED display, 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, a 5 mega-pixel camera with capabilities of recording 1080p HD and 1 mega-pixel front-facing camera, GPS and WiFi all running on Android 4.0 ICS. And the last news of the week is: Samsung tests Android 2.3.5 firmware for Samsung Galaxy S2! Here’s the article:

Samsung Electronics is finalizing its tests on a new firmware with Android 2.3.5 update for its Galaxy S II smartphones.

We do not have official confirmation from the Korean handset maker, but we spotted two interesting tweets made by SamFirmware (if you own a Samsung device than you know who they are), unveiling that Android 2.3.5 ROMS will arrive by the end of this month.
